To my wife and me, the hostel attended very well our expectations. It was our first experience in a hostel, and it was nothing something we thought would be very clean or organized (actually, we were expecting such a messy 😅), but it was such a good surprinsing experience, because they have an organized shared kitchen (with rules, clean cutlery and even some seasonings 😮), separated bathrooms to men and women, clean sheets, lockers, and access with codes into the bedrooms which brings some extra security. There were also some misterious qrcode with “inspirations” in the restrooms, which I cannot evaluate, because as a married man I preferred not to check. The bedroom was a little hot, but I think it was because our coleagues, who perhaps prefer to sleep in heated rooms (even in summer). Oh, and the staff attended our request to be in the same bunkbed (each one on its beds), which maybe an important information for couples. The check-in is flexible, so it was also an advantage because we arrived too late, and we could heat our meal and eat before sleeping. At all, I recommend it for those who are pasting a few days in Amsterdam. #DutchiesHostelReviewCompetition

Booked two beds in a room of 12 people, but honestly didn’t feel like 12 people were staying there. The bar seems lively, but our room didn’t hear any noise at night. Reception is open 24 hours a day, so the flexible check in and check out times were a big plus. The receptionists were also very helpful and nice. The kitchen is fully equipped too. We were offered free towels instead of renting, which was a nice surprise. The shower and toilets were clean and were empty or newly empty when I used them, but then again I was staying during December, which didn’t seem like peak travel times.

The pictures are a real depiction of how the place actually looks like, the bathrooms, kitchen and rooms were clean, with rooms and shared spaces for resting, even though they were a bit small. Additionally, the staff is very welcoming and nice, with everything you might need available in the hostel. They offer paid towels, padlocks, flipflops, toothbrushes and everything else you might need. Lastly, there are restaurants nearby and also a LIDL right in front of the hostel, which makes it very convenient to stay there, considering that downtown is a bit far from the hostel.

First time to try the capsules concept. I love the extra feeling of privacy, noise limit and safety compared to the normal shared beds hostels. You basically have a "box" with a bed, lights, electricity outlets and buttons to control the automated sliding door for your capsule. You can also control the door from a remote inside your small room locker which is great for extra safety when you leave the room. I left my big luggage in a shared luggage room.

Great spot, close to Sloterdijk station which is easy transport to and from the airport. There is a nice lounge room and kitchen, and space to chill or smoke outside. Also has bikes for rent and can do washing. Staff were all really friendly and helpful. Beds were good each with a plug and small shelf also. Also lockers under the bed. Heating was good throughout. Is an easy bike to the city centre and directly next to a small super market.
